Horehound stops spasmodic coughs and soothes sore throat. It helps wet coughs by thinning mucus making it easier to release phlegm through cough while also stimulating production of fresh mucus to push out old stagnate mucus. Hot horehound tea helps break fever by promoting blood flow which opens up skin pores to allow heat to escape. Add 1-2 tsp to 1 cup of boiled water; cover cup and steep for 5-20 mins.
